Riptide Basketball San Francisco, Bay Area

San Francisco Riptide Basketball is an organization serving the San Francisco and Bay Area communities. Our goal is to strive and create an AAU basketball program for boys and girls where we’re committed in allowing the players to develop both personally and fundamentally by combining a balance of sportsmanship with competitiveness, character with integrity, and utilizing the principles of leadership, teamwork and discipline that will help them in basketball and in every day life.

The Riptide basketball program reflects the core values of diversity and inclusiveness in our community. We want to teach a competitive and aggressive brand of basketball focusing on the personal development of each player. The program will teach the kids not only through physical core and strength conditioning, but through skills development and competitive league/tournament play. We take into account how each child learns and progresses differently and want to incorporate visual, practical and demonstrative teaching methods such as with video and white boarding sessions.

Our core Coaching staff has experience playing and coaching in High School Basketball and Sports Programs such as CYO, AAU and Recreational Leagues. We will invite other Coaches that have Collegiate and International experience to help train and assist with Speed, Explosiveness, Core Calisthenics training, as well as, on-court skills development through the program/season.

Riptide Tryouts

Tryouts for the SF Riptide program will be held prior to each season. To register and become part of the SF Riptide basketball family, please complete the Registration Form here!

Based on the demand and competition levels at tryouts, most grade levels will be qualified for either our Elite, Blue or Riptide Developmental team. Elite teams will play in more competitive tournaments throughout San Francisco (Bay Area), San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento and possibly other local travel tournaments and will focus on advanced player development. Blue and Riptide Development level teams will play in local leagues and tournaments throughout the San Francisco, Bay Area with the goals focusing in continuous skills and conditioning development.
